JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Trojan Swim Club Student Coach Assistant
Classification: Community Ed Classified-Temporary Adjunct
Qualifications:
- Experienced high school swimmer with current participation in organized swim program or club
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels, parents and the community
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health, citizenship and background check
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable
Reports to: Trojan Swim Club Coordinator
Performance Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of swimming skills, leadership, organization and teamwork
- Assist coaches at all levels (Novice/Age Group/Beginners)
- Create an environment that is conducive to learning swimming skills
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior
- Models positive reinforcement with students and staff
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent or his/her Designee.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to swim, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Terms of Employment:
Temporary Adjunct-Eleven (11) months, September-July. Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education. |
