JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Site Coordinator – Before & After School Enrichment
Classification: Classified Hourly - EA
Qualifications: 1. High School diploma
- Must possess one of the following requirements:
- Hold Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Hold Certificate of Mastery
- Completed thirty (30) college hours which includes fifteen (15) hours of child development coursework
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree which includes six (6) hours of child development coursework.
- Experience in daycare/school-age care.
- Must meet all state licensing requirements.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regards to physical health and citizenship.
- The ability to bend, stand, kneel, lift, and move freely about in order to interact with children and perform all job duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To: District Program Coordinator of Before & After School Enrichment
Position Goals: Manage site program to provide innovative teaching and care in a learning environment that offers and encourages choice and developmentally appropriate self-direction.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage the program for the site, serving as coordinator, supervisor, and instructor.
- Responsible for all clerical work needed in the operation of the program.
- Maintain attendance records.
- Maintain a personal file for each child.
- File enrollment forms along with immunization records for all students.
- Record and receipt any enrollment fees, tuition, and non-school day tuition, and prepare transmittal sheets for deposit. Send out past due notices and supply Program Coordinator with list of recipients.
- Plan daily activities and prepare materials.
- Supervise Assistant Site Coordinator and teacher assistants. Establish staffing patterns and schedules and arrange for substitutes as needed. Keep files on all employees with regards to hours of training per licensing requirements, and staff information sheets.
- Assist Program Coordinator with planning and scheduling non-school days and summer camps.
- Work with Program Coordinator in purchasing replacement supplies, equipment for maintenance of program, and items required for maintaining licensing standards.
- Monitor and maintain licensing requirements for site.
- Maintain parent communication through newsletters, bulletin boards, and daily notes.
- Make available, maintain and supervise a developmentally appropriate, healthy and safe program that provides protection and supervision of all the children enrolled, during all times of operation.
- Assist in the development of the program budget.
- Adhere to student behavior and discipline as per the Jenks Elementary, Intermediate, and Middle School Handbooks. Guide and administer discipline in a positive, respectful manner, which promotes self-control, self-direction, and self-esteem for each individual child.
- Attend workshops and conferences in accordance with licensing standards and requirements per licensed year.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
