Jenks Public Schools Job Description 

Position: Jenks Trojan Swim Club Student Coach Assistant

Reports to: Jenks Trojan Swim Club Coordinator

Supervises: None

Qualifications:

1. Experienced high school swimmer with current participation in organized swim program or club.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels, parents and the community.
3. Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.
4. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health, citizenship and background check.
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates knowledge of swimming skills, leadership, organization and teamwork.
2. Assist coaches at all levels (Novice/Age Group/Beginners).
3. Create an environment that is conducive to learning swimming skills.
4. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior.
5. Models positive reinforcement with students and staff.
6. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
