Position: Assistant Coach - High School Girls Lacrosse
Reports to: Director of Community Education and Assistant Director – Athletics, Community Education
Supervises: None
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Has previous success in assigned coaching position.
- Extensive knowledge, skills and ability in the strategy and technology of the sport.
- Experience interacting with student athletes, parents, and assistant coaches through deliberate positive interactions.
- Ability to serve as an effective role model for student athletes and represent Jenks Public Schools and Jenks Community Education with integrity and respect.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: Assist with all aspects of student-athlete development and performance of the lacrosse program.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, development, and the execution of the high school girls lacrosse program by focusing on building a positive culture and developing quality relationships with student athletes and parents.
- Assist in the implementation of sound practices and skill development that maximizes student athlete performance in lacrosse in collaboration with the head coach.
- Communicate effectively with all program stakeholders to ensure a positive, quality experience is provided for our student athletes.
- Collaborate with the coordinator, assistant coordinator, and the Booster Club.
- Assist in providing direction and evaluation of youth coaches and teams to develop vertical alignment throughout the program.
