Position: Jenks Trojan Gymnastics Class Instructor

 

Reports To: Jenks Trojan Gymnastics Coordinator

 

Supervises: None

 

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma required.
  2. Previous gymnastics, cheer or tumbling experience preferred but not required.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels, parents and the community.
  4. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health, citizenship and background check.
  5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal:   To provide quality gymnastics instruction to all patrons.

 

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates knowledge of gymnastics skills, leadership, organization and teamwork.
  2. Creates an environment that is conducive to learning gymnastics skills.
  3. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior.
  4. Assists with the oversight for the safety conditions, including of the facility, at all times during sessions.
  5. Models positive and professional support with students and staff.
  6. Exhibits strong core values, including respect, trust, and honesty.
  7. Serves as gymnastics class instructor and ambassador for the program.
  8. Maintains an up-to-date list and attendance of participants.
  9. Prepares and submits necessary evaluations.
  10. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Occasional Requirements: Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 75 pounds.

 

Visual Requirements:  Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

 

Hearing/Speaking Requirements:  Adequate to exchange information.
