Position: Jenks Trojan Gymnastics Team Coach
Reports To: Jenks Trojan Gymnastics Coordinator
Supervises: None
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required.
- Previous team coaching experience preferred.
- Member of USAG or AAU.
- Certification in USA Gymnastics, or ability to complete certification within first ninety (90) days of employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels, parents and the community.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health, citizenship and background check.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: To provide quality gymnastics instruction to all patrons and assist the planning, organization, and coordination of the programs within the Gymnastics Club.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of gymnastics skills, leadership, organization and teamwork.
- Creates an environment that is conducive to learning gymnastics skills.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior.
- Plans and schedules gymnastics practice workouts.
- Attends scheduled practices and meets for assigned gymnastics group(s).
- Assists with the oversight for the safety conditions, including of the facility, at all times during sessions.
- Models positive and professional support with students and staff.
- Assists with the organization, maintenance and inventory of all gymnastics club materials and equipment.
- Exhibits strong core values, including respect, trust, and honesty.
- Serves as gymnastics club instructor and ambassador for the program.
- Provides clerical support as needed.
- Maintains an up-to-date list and attendance of participants.
- Prepares and submit necessary reports.
- Assists in the preparation of the gymnastics program calendar and activity safety.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
