Position: School Bus Driver
Reports to: Director of Transportation
Supervises: None
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Commercial driver’s license.
- Good driving record.
- Complies with all state requirements.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: To provide safe transportation of students to and from designated locations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Drives bus to transport student over specified route to and from school according to the time schedule.
- Assures safety of passengers.
- Complies with local traffic regulations.
- Keeps assigned bus clean.
- Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Employment Terms: Nine (9) month classified hourly contract

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information.
