Position:  Assistant Coordinator - Girls Lacrosse

 

Reports to: Director of Community Education and Assistant Director – Athletics, Community Education

 

Supervises: None

 

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Experience in coaching lacrosse and club supervision/coordination preferred.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all age levels.
  4. Demonstrated ability to use oral and written communication effectively.
  5. Excellent organizational skills with high sensitivity to detail are required.
  6. Proficient computer and clerical skills required.
  7. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health, citizenship, and background check.
  8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: Assist in the planning, organization, and coordination of the operations and administration of the Jenks Trojan High School Girls Lacrosse Club.

 

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the coordinator of the Jenks Community Education Girls Lacrosse Club including the day-to-day operation and oversight of all aspects of the program.
  2. Assist the coordinator in establishing processes and timelines to ensure that all club tasks are handled in a timely manner.
  3. Assist the coordinator for all clerical work needed in the operation of the lacrosse program.
  4. Act as a liaison between the lacrosse conference, Jenks Community Education office, coaches, parents, and players to communicate important information.
  5. Assist the coordinator in planning and organizing District recruiting activities so young people have to opportunity to participate if interested.
  6. Attend some practices and all games to support coaches and troubleshoot possible needs.
  7. Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
  8. Assist in the coordinator in supervising the maintenance and inventory of all related lacrosse equipment.
  9. Provide oversight for the safety conditions of District facilities.
  10. Ensure that the program aligns with and promotes the District’s values and goals.
  11. Foster positive school-community relations regarding the lacrosse program.
  12. Create an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the lacrosse players.
  13. Model positive reinforcement with students, program participants, and staff.
  14. Perform all other duties as assigned.
